Our Shot: April 23, 2025
Welcome to the third edition of Our Shot, a weekly newsletter of actions that anyone (especially kids) can take to resist the Trump administration.
This week we are celebrating Earth Month!
Smaller action: Replace a car trip with an alternative form of transportation this week - walk, bike, or take public transit instead.
Larger action: This week's larger action comes to us from Leo's aunt Becky, who lives in Washington DC and is an inspiration to us in her resistance.
"One thing I have done a few times in DC is attend volunteer clean-ups of public land and parks. It helps me feel more connected to the nature around me and to other people in my neighborhood, and I feel like I'm doing something to help clean up the environment event while the Trump administration tries to dismantle environmental protections"
Join an Earth Day cleanup in your area! We will be joining our Representative Steve Owens Earth Day Community Cleanup along the Charles River on April 26 - if you're in the Watertown area and want to join, you can sign up here!
Do you have any ideas for actions people can take? Have you taken an action of resistance that you would like to share? Please email ctsvirsky@gmail.com to let us know - we would love to hear from you!
We are not throwing away our shot!
