Our Shot: October 1, 2025

Welcome to the 24th edition of Our Shot, a weekly newsletter of actions that anyone (especially kids) can take to resist the Trump administration.

Smaller action: Take a moment to remember Jane Goodall, the extraordinary activist and primatologist. We loved this summary of her life and work, and this quote from her felt especially relevant for today:

"I realized I had to stop living selfishly in my own little paradise and use the knowledge I'd gained to do what I could to help." 

Larger action: Donate to a diaper drive near you.

The Metro Boston Diaper Drive will run from October 5-18. You can learn more about how to get involved and donate here, and learn more about why diaper drives are so important here.

If you are not in the Metro Boston area, you can look for a diaper bank near you through the National Diaper Bank Network.

We haven't had a chance to think about actions related to the government shutdown - if you have ideas or resources please send them our way!
