Our Shot: September 10, 2025

Welcome to the 21st edition of Our Shot, a weekly newsletter of actions that anyone (especially kids) can take to resist the Trump administration.

Smaller action: Sign up for a library card and help to spread the word to friends and family to do the same!

September is National Library Card Signup Month! The Trump administration has been working to dismantle federal support for libraries, so this is a great time to support your local library by signing up for a card and encouraging others to do the same!

Larger action: Find and support your local Rapid Response Network.

A Rapid Response Network (RRN) is a community-based system of volunteers and organizations that provide assistance to immigrants and immigrant communities during immigration enforcement actions, like ICE raids. Many RRNs staff a hotline where you can report ICE activity and connect to help in real-time.

Search Rapid Response Network in your location to find a system in your community and ways to support and get involved!

Shout-out:

Leo's aunt Nina and uncle Ryan at the Labor Day parade in NYC.

Do you have any ideas for actions people can take? Have you taken an action of resistance that you would like to share? Please email ctsvirsky@gmail.com to let us know - we would love to hear from you!

We are not throwing away our shot!
